Protect Your Horse from the Ground Up with TERRAFLEX™ an advanced, distinctive, versatile, reliable, and impact absorbing Shoe
You will like it; Your Horse will love it
After years of research, Blue Pegasos Pty Ltd, a Queensland (Australia) based company, has developed the TERRAFLEX™ shoe, unique in its design, and easy-to-fit hoof protection.
TERRAFLEX™ is a highly-engineered polyurethane shoe. The shoe has No metal inserts and is not manufactured from composite material or any other components as many pre-successors did in the past, or still do.
The exclusively designed material used contains high-performance properties, such as abrasion, tear, and slip resistance, excellent durability, flexibility, great load-bearing, and huge impact-absorbing capabilities far superior to plastic, rubber, or metal.
TERRAFLEX™ shoes are designed to absorb most of the tremors caused by the impact (the highest impact rate measured of a galloping racehorse was 1.8 metric tons) when the hooves touch the ground, a major contributor, and cause of countless hoof and leg-related ailments.
The elasticity of the polyurethane material used in our shoes minimizes the effect of hard impacts and reduces the risk of injury and strain, encouraging more natural flexibility, and movement of the hoof, allowing the lower leg, and hoof capsule to better cope with the rigors of exercise.
The shoes have a built-in memory, kind of like a sponge effect, they lessen the hoof sole pressure as they are able to return to the original shape once the hoof has been standing on. To prevent the spread of hoof fungus, the shoes, and inserts (Sole-Plate), contain antibacterial properties.
All shoes form to the hoof in a more natural way, allowing the hoof to expand in all directions as it should, increasing blood circulation for healthier hoof growth.
The wide surface of the shoe gives excellent hoof coverage, and by adding the insert (Sole Plate), overall sole protection is achieved.
There are sixteen (16) shoe sizes in the standard (CCC) or break-over (RCC) version, and in three (3) specially designed material densities readily available.
All shoes are universal in design, which allows a wide variety of shapes for an easy and fast shoeing application on either the front or rear hooves without having to look for a front or rear shoe. The design and the variety of the shoes and accessories give the Farrier many options when choosing the best way to approach shoeing the individual horse.
Any of the shoes are suitable for everyday use and sporting activities as well as treating more common, and advanced hoof pathologies such as laminitis, arthritis, and navicular disease. A TERRAFLEX™ shoe gives unwell horses the relief and courage to recover.
They have specifically been tested over many thousands of competition miles by many different horse/rider combinations around the globe in many equine sporting disciplines.
Riders report a noticeable difference immediately in the horses’ movements upon changing to TERRAFLEX™ shoes from metal shoes, experiencing less jarring from the ground through the leg, shoulder, and onto the rider giving a more comfortable horse-riding experience.
They allow the hoof to function in a more natural state whilst still receiving all of the protective benefits that hoof protection provides.
Since 1996 TERRAFLEX™ shoes and shoe accessories as reliable, and effective products of world-class quality, have been contributing to the Equine industry and have been distributed to numerous individual horse enthusiasts, who perform with their horses in different sports disciplines around the globe, for decades.
Blue Pegasos Equine products are environmentally friendly, shoes and accessories can be recycled, the material used is not toxic, and the shoes won’t cause any damage to the environment, compact the soil, or cause erosion, due to the excellent agility of the shoe profile, no matter if the shoes are nailed or glued to the hooves.
Early lameness detection can prevent time and monetary losses. TERRAFLEX™ shoes are excellent for identifying and fixing early signs of trim imbalances shown through wear patterns on the shoe.
